George O'Connor, CPM

George joined Comprop Commercial Properties in 1983. In the following five years, Mr. O’Connor held numerous executive management positions including President, overseeing a four-state portfolio of over 2.5 million square feet of office, industrial, apartment, and retail property. In 1988, George purchased the company and formed Detrick O’Connor, operating the commercial division of one of Tulsa’s larges residential real estate companies. In the early 90’s, George served as general manager of the Kensington Galleria, an 800,000 square foot mixed-use project that included a mall, high-rise office building, retail shopping center, and 300 room Sheraton Hotel.

In 1994, George became director of Real Estate for the retail division of Insignia Commercial Group, at the time, the largest Commercial Real Estate Company in the country. Over four years he held positions including Brokerage Leasing Manager, Tulsa City Manager, and was promoted to Director of Retail Marketing for the Midwest United States. In the director position, George directed marketing operations, retail leasing, and staff in Cities from Salt Lake City to Chicago. George’s retail portfolio was over 3 million square feet including outlet malls, shopping center redevelopments, and retail properties being repositioned.

In 1998 George formed Mid America Realty to provide specialized real estate services with retail, industrial and office management, marketing, and leasing. George is a licensed real estate broker, Certified Property Manager (CPM), and Real Property Administrator (RPA). He has served as Mayor’s appointee to the Mechanical Board of Tulsa and a court appointed Commissioner of Real Estate Valuation in over one hundred federal, state, and city real estate condemnation cases. Mr O’Connor has served as president of the Tulsa chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), President of the Tulsa chapter of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), and the Professional Standards Committee for the Greater Tulsa Board of Realtors. In 1996, 2006, and 2016, George was recognized for his marketing ability, being awarded the Retail Sale of the Year award by NAIOP.  George has been recognized numerous times as a Power Broker by Costar, most recently recognized as a top retail leasing broker and top retail leasing firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

Kristen Boggs

Kristen Boggs was directly involved in the formation of Mid America Realty in 1998, originally serving as Director of Property Management, and soon after, promoted to Vice President. As Vice President, Mrs. Boggs oversees the day to day operations of the property portfolio. Responsibilities include accounting, financial reporting, and contract administration services for all Mid America Realty properties. She also oversees the processing and accuracy of all leases produced by leasing agents, reviews and responds to property management issues, and acts as a resource for Tenants to resolve issues. Kristen has developed operating controls and procedures for over one million square feet of property in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

With over fifteen years of brokerage experience, Kristen is also directly involved with all sales transactions, including the analysis of the properties financials and value, as well as contract terms. Prior to Mid America Realty, Kristen’s organizational skills and attention to detail were honed while serving as assistant to the director of marketing and real estate brokerage for the midwest with Insignia Commercial Group.

Kristen is a licensed real estate Broker Associate, has been licensed with the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission for over seventeen years, and is a member of the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors. 

Kevin O'Connor, CCIM

Kevin joined the company full time in January 2013. His primary responsibilities include client relations, property management, leasing services, and the negotiation and preparation of lease documents. Since joining Mid America, Kevin has been directly involved in the sale of over Thirty Million Dollars of commercial real estate, as well as leasing of over half a million square feet of retail, office, and industrial space. A proven expert in the Tulsa market, Kevin was awarded CoStar Power Broker Awards for retail leasing volume in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2020, and 2021 as well as the 2016 NAIOP Tulsa Retail Sale of the Year and 2017 and 2020 NAIOP Tulsa Retail Lease of the Year awards.

Kevin oversees a number of property management functions including day to day ownership communication, tenant relations, lease review and administration, financial/budgeting review, and the planning and implementation of capital improvements to centers.

Adept in financial modeling methods, Kevin is capable of running calculations for prospective and existing investments including internal rate of return, capital accumulation, and discounted cash flow analysis, as well as analyzing hold/sell and other strategic management and operational decisions intended to maximize investor returns.

Kevin graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and Environmental Policy from the University of Tulsa, is a licensed Oklahoma Real Estate Associate of eighteen years, and obtained his CCIM designation in April 2019.
